TV installation in London, planned around your room
A television should sit at a comfortable height, look balanced in the room and stay secure on the wall. We install TVs in London homes and workplaces with the wall, bracket, viewing position and cable route considered before drilling begins.
- Wall mounting for common TV sizes and room layouts
- Bracket, wall type and cable route checked before work starts
- Soundbars, media units and connected devices set up neatly
Send photographs, your postcode and a concise description of the work for a useful first assessment.

More than fixing a bracket to a wall
Good TV installation starts with the way the room is actually used. Sofa position, eye line, daylight, nearby sockets and the depth of the chosen bracket all affect the finished result. A screen mounted too high can be uncomfortable; one placed without checking reflections may be difficult to watch during the day. We discuss those practical points before marking the wall, so the installation works visually as well as mechanically.
The wall itself matters just as much as the television. Solid masonry, plasterboard, dot-and-dab construction and chimney breasts need different fixing decisions. We inspect the surface and the intended mounting point rather than treating every wall alike. If the supplied bracket or proposed position is unsuitable, we explain the issue and agree the sensible next step before making holes.
Our role is installation rather than aerial engineering or major electrical alteration. If the job needs a new concealed power supply, specialist aerial work or extensive making good, that can be identified at the quotation stage and separated clearly from the mounting work.

TVs, brackets and connected equipment
We can fit fixed, tilting and full-motion brackets where the product, wall and available clearances are compatible. Fixed brackets create a close, understated finish. Tilting designs can help when the screen must sit above normal eye level, while articulated arms need extra consideration because they place greater leverage on the fixings and require space to move safely.
The appointment can also include mounting a compatible soundbar, arranging a media unit and reconnecting equipment such as streaming boxes, games consoles and Blu-ray players. We label or group accessible cables where useful, then check that the screen powers on and the connected inputs respond. Network faults, account logins and subscription support are outside a normal mounting visit, but straightforward device connection can be included in the agreed scope.
- Fixed, tilting and full-motion TV brackets
- Soundbars and compatible mounting kits
- Streaming devices, consoles and media players
- Bedroom, living-room, office and meeting-room screens

A cable route that suits the property
Visible cables can be managed in neat surface trunking, often painted later to blend with the wall. Concealed routes may be possible, but the correct method depends on wall construction, fire barriers, insulation, existing services and access. We do not promise invisible cabling until the route has been assessed. In many London properties, a well-positioned surface route is the cleaner and less disruptive answer.
Power and low-voltage signal cables also need to be treated differently. An extension lead should not simply be buried in a wall. Where a new socket or electrical alteration is required, that element should be carried out by an appropriate electrical professional. We can plan the visual arrangement around the existing points and tell you when another trade is needed.
Older conversions and refurbished flats can hide unexpected battens, uneven plaster or previous fixings. Allowing for these conditions protects the room and avoids forcing a pre-selected cable plan that does not suit the building.

What to send before your appointment
A few accurate details make the quotation and visit far more efficient. Send the TV make and model, screen size, bracket model if already purchased, a straight-on photograph of the intended wall and a wider image showing sockets and furniture. Mention whether the property is a house, flat, office or managed building, and tell us about parking or access restrictions.
Please also identify known pipework, cables or underfloor heating controls near the mounting area. If you are renting or the wall is part of a managed block, obtain any necessary permission before the appointment. Move fragile objects and give the installer a clear working area around the wall; large screens may require safe space for two-person handling.
- TV make, model and diagonal screen size
- Bracket product details and maximum load
- Photographs of the wall, sockets and viewing area
- Details of soundbars, consoles and other devices
- Parking, lift, stair and building-access information

How the installation visit works
On arrival, we confirm the agreed scope and inspect the mounting area. The proposed position is measured and marked, then checked from the main viewing point. Only after the height and alignment are agreed do we proceed with drilling and fixing. The bracket is assembled and secured according to its design, and the television is attached using compatible hardware.
Cables and agreed accessories are arranged next. We reconnect the listed devices, check basic operation and leave the immediate work area tidy. The final handover covers bracket movement where relevant and any limitations that became apparent during the work. Packaging removal or disposal is not assumed; ask for it when requesting the quote if you need that included.
If site conditions differ materially from the photographs or description, we pause and explain the options. That may mean changing the cable treatment, using different suitable fixings, moving the position or pricing additional work separately. Clear decisions at that point are better than hiding a compromise behind the screen.

TV installation across London
London rooms vary from compact new-build bedrooms to high-ceilinged Victorian receptions and commercial meeting spaces. The installation needs to respond to the property rather than follow a showroom template. We account for room proportions, access, shared walls, building rules and the practical impact of noise or drilling times.
To request a quote, send the postcode with the product and wall details. We will confirm whether the address is covered and what further information is needed. Combining a TV installation with other small, clearly described handyman tasks may be possible when arranged in advance; list them at enquiry stage so enough time can be allowed.

TV installation questions
These answers set out the practical starting point. Photographs and exact product or fault details allow a more specific response.
Can you mount a TV on plasterboard?
Sometimes. The wall construction, available structural support, TV weight and bracket type must be assessed first. A photograph helps with the initial quote, but the final fixing decision is made from the actual wall.
Do I need to buy the bracket?
You can supply a compatible bracket. Send its model details with the TV model so suitability can be checked. If you need guidance, explain the viewing position and whether you want a fixed, tilting or moving screen.
Can all cables be hidden inside the wall?
Not in every property. Wall construction, fire barriers, services and power requirements affect what is safe and practical. Surface trunking is often a tidy, lower-disruption alternative.
Will you set up my streaming accounts?
We can connect agreed devices and check the relevant input, but passwords, subscriptions and account recovery remain the customer’s responsibility.
Can you mount a soundbar below the television?
Yes, where the soundbar, mounting kit, wall and available clearances are compatible. Provide the soundbar model and mounting parts when enquiring.
What happens if the chosen wall is unsuitable?
We explain why and discuss reasonable alternatives, such as a different position, bracket or cable route. We do not continue with a mounting plan that cannot be supported by the site conditions.
